Haolang Algicide and Bactericide

Characteristics

Haolang isothiazolinone is mainly composed of 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one <｜> and 2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one <‖>, with a ratio of approximately <｜>:<‖>=3:1, and an active ingredient content of 1.5%. This product functions as a bactericide by breaking the bonds of bacterial and algal proteins. Upon contact with microorganisms, it rapidly inhibits their growth, leading to the death of biological cells. It can penetrate the slime biofilm attached to equipment walls, providing a bio-slime stripping effect. Therefore, it exhibits strong inhibitory and killing effects against common bacteria, fungi, algae, etc., in circulating water systems. It features high biocidal efficiency, good degradability of active components, no residue formation, safe operation, good compatibility, strong stability, and low usage cost.

Applications

This product is a broad-spectrum, efficient, low-toxicity, non-oxidizing biocide, ideal for industrial circulating cooling water and papermaking wastewater treatment. It is widely used as a bactericide in oil fields, papermaking, pesticides, cutting oils, leather, detergents, and cosmetics. It can be compounded with other non-oxidizing biocides to achieve a synergistic effect. At high doses, this product shows significant efficacy in bio-slime stripping.
Technical Requirements

Usage

When used as a slime stripping agent, Haolang isothiazolinone is dosed at 150～300 mg/L. As a biocide, depending on the growth of bacteria and algae, it is dosed every 3～7 days at a dosage of 80～100 mg/L. It should not be used concurrently with oxidizing biocides such as chlorine.

Packaging and Storage

This product is packaged in dark plastic barrels, with a net weight of 25 kg per barrel. It should be stored in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place, with a storage period of ten months.
