The testing machine mainly consists of three parts: the main body, the hydraulic control box, and the force measuring instrument.
1. Main Body Section
The main body of the testing machine is connected by four columns linking the cylinder and the upper beam.
An adjustment screw is mounted on the upper beam, allowing the handwheel and nut screw to adjust the no-load height of the machine. The lower end of the screw is equipped with a spherical seat and the upper pressure plate. The lower pressure plate is placed on the piston of the oil cylinder. When the specimen contacts the upper pressure plate, the spherical seat self-adjusts for balance, ensuring the specimen remains level with both plates. The lower pressure plate has engraved lines for specimen positioning; specimens must align with these lines during testing. A dust cover is installed below the lower pressure plate to prevent or reduce dust entry into the oil cylinder during piston movement, which could damage the cylinder or oil seals. A sealing device between the piston and cylinder prevents oil leakage, though minor leakage may occur. An annular oil groove at the top of the cylinder, along with a drain channel, directs any leaked oil back to the main tank.
