Physical and Chemical Properties: White crystals or crystalline powder; odorless, slightly bitter taste; color gradually darkens upon exposure to light; after dissolving in water, part of the lactone converts into glucuronic acid, reaching an equilibrium state, showing an acidic reaction. Easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in methanol, and slightly melts in ethanol.
