Appearance:Yellow crystalline powder, odorless, bitter taste. Soluble in water, readily soluble in hot water, slightly soluble in ethanol. Melting point 245°C, decomposes upon melting.

Product Usage:Raw material for chemical analysis reagents, antiseptic and disinfectant for wound and mucosal disinfection, precipitation and separation in plasma protein preparation. Used as an external bactericidal preservative, mainly effective against cocci, especially streptococci. Commonly used for surgical trauma, washing, and wet compresses of skin and mucous membranes.
