Physical and chemical properties: White or slightly yellow granules or powder, easily caking; slight ammonia odor, bitter taste; absorbs carbon dioxide in the air and decomposes into theophylline; aqueous solution shows alkaline reaction. Soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol.
Executive standard: Complies with the specifications of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia, British Pharmacopoeia, and European Pharmacopoeia.
Product use: Raw material for analytical reagents, smooth muscle relaxant, diuretic. Mainly used for bronchial asthma and asthmatic chronic bronchitis, also for acute cardiac insufficiency and biliary colic, etc.
