Corundum Wear-Resistant Ceramic Coating Abrasion-Resistant Material for Duct Construction Turtle Mesh Castable
Corundum Wear-Resistant Ceramic Coating: The shelf life of corundum wear-resistant ceramic coating generally refers to the storage period during which the coating product can be applied normally under proper storage conditions and maintain its performance after application. Typically, most coating products have a specified shelf life of 12 months as stated in their instructions. For coatings prone to sedimentation or slow chemical reactions during storage, the shelf life is usually set at 6 months. Manufacturers can generally follow this standard for most coatings.
Construction Process of Corundum Wear-Resistant Ceramic Coating:
1、Mixing: Pour the ceramic wear-resistant material into a mixing container and add an appropriate amount of water or binder as per the product instructions. Use mechanical mixing equipment and mix for 3-5 minutes to ensure the material is evenly blended and reaches a plastic state.
2、Application: Apply the material in layers. First, apply a layer with a thickness of 10-15mm. Use a trowel to spread the mixed wear-resistant material evenly on the equipment surface, applying pressure to ensure full contact between the material and the surface. After the initial setting of the first layer (typically 1-2 hours, depending on ambient temperature and material properties), apply the second layer. The thickness should be determined based on design requirements, generally not exceeding 30mm. The interval between layers should not be too long to avoid affecting interlayer bonding.
3、Vibration: For areas with greater thickness, use a vibrator during application to remove trapped air and enhance the density and strength of the wear-resistant material. Avoid over-vibration to prevent surface bleeding or segregation.
Curing After Construction: After application, the ceramic wear-resistant material requires curing. Under normal temperatures, the natural curing period should be no less than 7 days. During curing, keep the surface moist by covering it with wet burlap or plastic film. Avoid impact or disturbance to the surface to ensure proper curing and optimal wear resistance. This process helps maximize the performance characteristics of the ceramic wear-resistant material and extend the equipment's service life.
