I. Introduction

The JEQ series gas safety shut-off valve is used in gas transmission and distribution systems. When the pipeline pressure controlled by the shut-off valve exceeds or falls below the set shut-off pressure, the JEQ series safety shut-off valve can urgently cut off the gas flow in the pipeline to protect downstream equipment. Applicable media: natural gas, manufactured gas, liquefied petroleum gas, and other non-corrosive gases.

Note: Valve bodies made of HT200 are only suitable for working conditions where the design temperature is between -10°C and 60°C, and the design pressure is ≤0.4 MPa. DN25 does not have HT200 valve bodies.

VII. Installation Requirements

The installation, use, maintenance, and repair of the shut-off valve must be performed by qualified professionals. The company is not responsible for consequences caused by other personnel. Users must train relevant personnel or seek assistance from the company.

1. The shut-off valve should be installed away from fire sources and vibrations in an environment that meets requirements.

2. Check whether the pressure of the gas transmission and distribution pipeline matches the usage pressure range indicated on the nameplate of the shut-off valve.

3. Confirm whether the setting range of the sensor and adjusting spring meets the requirements of the system pipeline.

4. Check whether the airflow arrow on the shut-off valve aligns with the airflow direction of the installation pipeline.

5. The pipeline before the shut-off valve should be purged clean before installing the shut-off valve.

6. The shut-off valve can only be installed on horizontal pipelines. Do not force the installation when connecting the shut-off valve to the front and rear pipelines. Except for supports under the inlet and outlet flanges, the installed shut-off valve should not be subjected to other external forces.

7. It is recommended that the trip mechanism of the JEQ series be installed above the valve body (for DN≥100, the trip mechanism must be installed above the valve body).

8. The shut-off valve should be installed upstream of the monitored regulator.

9. Other equipment adjacent to the shut-off valve should not hinder its operation, disassembly, and maintenance.

10. Modifications such as drilling, grinding, and welding are not allowed on the shut-off valve.

11. Do not intentionally prevent or delay the shut-off action.

12. The shut-off valve requires an external signal tube to transmit the pressure from the pressure tapping point to the sensor of the shut-off valve. The pressure tapping point of the shut-off valve should be located on a straight pipe section 4-6 times the pipe diameter (DN) downstream of the regulator.
