Differential pressure flow meters are a type of flow meter with a long history and mature technology. Among them, differential pressure flow meters that use throttling devices as detection elements are widely applied, and we refer to them as throttling differential pressure flow meters.
Throttling differential pressure flow meters operate based on the principle that fluid passing through a throttling device converts part of the pressure energy into kinetic energy, generating a differential pressure signal. They consist of a throttling device, a differential pressure transmitter, and a signal display instrument. They are used for flow measurement, control, and regulation of liquids, steam, and gases, and are widely applied in industrial fields such as power, chemical, petroleum, metallurgy, light textile, food, and military industries.
Throttling devices have a simple structure, accurate measurement, reliable operation, and are easy to maintain and repair.
The structural forms of throttling elements include: standard orifice plates and nozzles.

Pressure tapping methods include "corner tapping," "flange tapping," and "radius tapping."
Nozzle
The ring chamber short nozzle pressure tapping (ISA1932) and combined long-radius nozzle are mainly used in high-pressure or high-temperature high-pressure applications in the power industry. They are typically used for main steam, main feedwater, or attemperation water in units with a capacity of 50MW or above. They feature low-pressure loss and long service life.
