I. Product Introduction
The CL800 Spectroradiometer is a domestically developed portable illuminance meter by Huicai Company. It utilizes a high-precision concave grating as the spectroscopic component, capable of collecting radiation illuminance spectra of light sources within the 350–800 nm wavelength range, outputting irradiance spectra at 1 nm intervals, with a measurement range of up to 200,000 lx.
The instrument is equipped with a 2.8-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen, a 4000 mAh lithium-ion battery, a Bluetooth/WIFI multifunctional chip, and large-capacity storage.
The instrument can measure technical parameters such as irradiance spectra, illuminance, color temperature, color rendering index, and white balance; it can also measure parameters for plant growth lights, UVI index, blue light hazard, display color gamut, uniformity, CQS, TM-30, TLCI-2012, flicker frequency, and more. It is powerful and widely applicable.
II. Product Features
1. Uses a high-precision concave grating as the spectroscopic element and a 256-pixel CMOS as the detector. The compact structure allows for measuring radiation illuminance spectra of ambient light and flickering light sources within the 350–800 nm wavelength range, with high measurement accuracy, 0.2 nm wavelength accuracy, and 1 nm spectral output.
2. The instrument employs an industrial-grade MCU processor, a 2.8-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen, and up to 10,000 storage slots. It is easy to operate and offers stable performance.
3. The instrument is equipped with a 4000 mAh lithium-ion battery for long standby time; Type-C and Bluetooth 5.0 interfaces, with a reserved WIFI interface; and rich expansion interfaces, making it highly suitable for secondary development and a wide range of application scenarios.
5. Capable of testing parameters such as illuminance, color temperature, color rendering index, white balance, plant growth light parameters, UVI index, blue light hazard, display color gamut, uniformity, CQS, and TM-30 flicker frequency, making it widely applicable.

III. Industry Applications
3.1 LED Light Sources, Solid-State Lighting, Spectra, Illuminance, Color Temperature, Color Rendering Index, Uniformity Measurement, Dominant Wavelength, S/P, Luminous Flux Testing
The CL800 Spectroradiometer can easily measure parameters such as spectra, illuminance, color temperature, color rendering index, dominant wavelength, scotopic/photopic ratio, peak wavelength, plant light parameters, flicker, flash measurement, and camera white balance.
When paired with an integrating sphere, the illuminance meter can measure luminous flux. With the professional HIQC software, it can easily achieve color classification and chromaticity coordinate screening for LED solid-state light sources as per the ENERGY STAR standards.
3.2 Smart Agricultural Lighting/Plant Growth Light Photosynthetic Photon and Chlorophyll Parameter Measurement
The CL800 Spectroradiometer can easily measure photometric parameters for plants, such as spectra, illuminance, photosynthetically active radiation (PAR), photosynthetic photon flux density (PPFD), yield photon flux density (YPFD), chlorophyll-weighted irradiance (E-ch A and E-ch B), photosynthetic irradiance (E-p), and photosynthetic red-blue irradiance ratio (Erb-p).
3.3 Standard Light Box/Display Panel Illuminance, Color Temperature, Color Rendering Index, Uniformity Measurement
Key technical indicators for color assessment light boxes/standard light boxes include: standard spectral distribution of the light source, illuminance uniformity, light source stability, color temperature and color rendering index, and light source lifespan. The specifies requirements for standard light sources, such as a color temperature deviation not exceeding 5%, illuminance greater than 600 lx, and uniformity greater than 80%. The CL800 Spectroradiometer can conveniently measure the stability, uniformity, and spectral matching of light sources in color assessment/standard light boxes.
3.4 Transmittance Testing
Transmittance is the ratio of the luminous flux (radiant flux) passing through the test object to the incident luminous flux (radiant flux). Visible light transmittance typically refers to the ratio of luminous flux in the 380–780 nm wavelength range; UVA transmittance is the ratio of UVA radiant flux; IR transmittance is the ratio of infrared radiant flux beyond 780 nm. Common transmittance meters use LED or halogen tungsten lamps as light sources, which can affect test results by about 5%. Standards and literature often specify the use of D65 standard illuminants for transmittance testing. D65 represents average northern hemisphere daylight, making transmittance tests under such conditions highly representative and widely accepted, as seen in standards for outdoor glass and UV-protective glasses. However, many transmittance meters on the market use light sources far from the D65 standard, leading to suboptimal results.
The CL800 Spectroradiometer can use outdoor sunlight (close to the D65 standard illuminant) as the light source. Through two measurements, it can easily test the transmittance of glasses and architectural glass under D65 standard illuminant conditions.
3.5 Camera White Balance
When taking photos, factors such as the lighting environment, sensor response characteristics, lens filters, and exposure parameters affect image quality. When the lighting environment and sensor are not well matched, adjusting lens filters can optimize image quality. The CL800 illuminance meter measures the light source and provides the corresponding white balance correction filter number. In the white balance chart, the horizontal axis represents the color temperature difference between the test sample and the target reference, while the vertical axis indicates the compensation filter number, with "G" for green filters and "M" for magenta filters. The instrument defaults to supporting Kodak's G/M series compensation filters. Customization for other brands or series is available upon request.
