Introduction to Compressed Air Oxygen Supply System

As one of the main systems in a refuge chamber, the compressed air oxygen supply system primarily consists of a three-tier oxygen supply system: compressed air pipeline oxygen supply, self-contained oxygen cylinder supply, and isolated compressed oxygen self-rescuer system, meeting the breathing needs of personnel inside the chamber to sustain life.

Compressed Air Oxygen Supply System for Refuge Chambers can be subdivided into mining oxygen respirators, refuge chamber oxygen terminals, compressed air self-rescue devices, compressed air self-rescuers, positive pressure oxygen respirators, fire extinguishers, oxygen cylinders, mining compressed air and water self-rescue devices, automatic resuscitators, emergency respirators, etc. The oxygen supply system can control the oxygen supply to the life-saving cabin, i.e., by setting the oxygen supply box, adjust the oxygen supply inside the cabin, allowing oxygen cylinders to supply oxygen to the life-saving cabin according to set pressure and flow, and manually adjust the oxygen flow through the oxygen supply box in the survival cabin.

Technical Conditions of Compressed Air Oxygen Supply System

The compressed air system oxygen supply device uses the pre-buried compressed air pipeline in front of the chamber as the air source. After passing through valves, it enters the three-stage filtration for water, dust, and oil set in the transition chamber, then passes through a pre-set pressure reducer, pipeline to the gas output end, thus transferring to the breathing masks in each person's hand, providing fresher and more comfortable air for personnel taking refuge in the shelter.

1. The compressed air system oxygen supply device uses ground compressed air through pipelines (ground compressed air system) as the air source. After passing through valves, it enters the three-stage filtration for water, dust, and oil set in the transition chamber, then passes through a pre-set pressure reducer, float flow meter, pipeline to the gas output port.

2. Compressed air oxygen supply uses large-flow C.A.T three-stage filtration, with pipelines using DN35 pipeline fittings and pressure reduction control devices.

3. Per capita air supply ≥0.3m³/min, continuous noise ≤70dB.

4. Oxygen concentration reaches 18.5~23.0%.

5. Pressure reducer inlet pressure ≥15MPa, outlet pressure 0.1-0.3MPa (adjustable), output flow not less than 20m³/min.

6. Float flow meter range 0-8m³/min, division value 0.3m³/min.

7. High-pressure compressed oxygen supply system 40L oxygen cylinders must be filled to full capacity upon delivery.

Brief Description of Compressed Air Oxygen Supply System

1. The chamber is equipped with multiple gas switching devices, and gas supply should primarily rely on compressed air;

2. When there is no compressed air, immediately switch to oxygen supply for breathing;

3. When there is no oxygen, use a manual fan to start the air source operation device to supply oxygen for breathing;

4. The chamber space is large, and compressed oxygen placed in the environment at 0.5L/person min does not meet breathing requirements; only by using masks worn on the mouth can requirements be met. Therefore, it is necessary to equip mine compressed air self-rescue devices with breathing masks to meet requirements.

If there are too many people taking refuge in the chamber and compressed air self-rescue devices are insufficient, emergency oxygen discharge can be opened for breathing. The method for determining the number of oxygen cylinders: based on the number of people in the chamber, determine the storage quantity. Self-contained oxygen supply flow is 0.5L/person min, number of people taking refuge is 10, safety factor 1.2, refuge time 96h, required oxygen volume is: 0.5*10*96*60*1.2=41472L. Using oxygen cylinders with working pressure of 15MPa and volume of 60L as the oxygen supply source, the available oxygen volume per cylinder is 60*149=1*v=8940, so the number of oxygen cylinders needed is 41472/8940=5. Therefore, 10 people require 5 60L oxygen cylinders to maintain for 96h.
