Steel-lined plastic storage tank

Steel plastic-lined storage tanks, steel plastic-lined (tortoise shell lining—steel, mesh, plastic three-in-one) are a series of steel-plastic composite products. They use carbon steel or stainless steel as the outer shell, with a steel mesh (tortoise shell) welded to the inner surface of the steel body. Polyethylene is used as the raw material and is integrally formed on the steel body surface through rotational molding lining technology (rotomolding technology). Since the steel mesh (tortoise shell) and polyethylene are integrated and the steel mesh is welded to the inner surface of the steel body, it is difficult for the polyethylene to detach from the steel body surface. Therefore, it is a highly corrosion-resistant product. The inner lining surface of the product is smooth, flat, and sturdy. Compared to traditional steel plastic-lined plate storage tanks, steel plastic-lined fiberglass storage tanks, and PPH wound storage tanks, it offers better corrosion resistance, no leakage, no peeling, wear resistance, longer lifespan, and higher strength. It is an ideal storage and transportation container for corrosive liquids and can be applied to automotive transport tanks, pipelines, low-pressure tanks, reaction kettles, ion exchange columns, pickling tanks, sedimentation tanks, neutralization tanks, electroplating tanks, pickling tanks, marine transport storage tanks, environmental protection equipment, etc., at temperatures below 90°C. The storage tank manhole can be equipped with a quick-opening manhole assistance device.

Steel plastic-lined storage tank products have been used domestically for about 20 years. Our company was among the first in the mid-1990s to research and develop this new anti-corrosion product. During the development process, we encountered various challenges, such as the separation between the steel body and the plastic lining, the specifications of the tortoise shell mesh, the thickness of the plastic lining, nozzle design, and lining issues.
