To ensure the system's realism, interactivity, and scalability, it must be developed using the open-source engine Unreal Engine 4. The virtual experimental environment is based on a large-scale, real, high-precision experimental setup, created at a 1:1 scale with accurate and clear markings, and capable of accommodating over 16 CNC machine tools. The VR training system's virtual workshop is equipped with essential standard multi-layer toolboxes, electrical cabinets, pipelines, cranes, CNC machining artwork display cabinets, tool display cabinets, measuring tool display cabinets, and fixture display cabinets. Each layer of the toolbox can be pulled out and is accompanied by matching tools and cutters.
The specific parameter indicators are as follows:
1. The system provides safety training education for trainees in a VR environment, such as hazardous areas in the training center, dangers caused by improper operation of machine tools, checking the integrity of protective devices, recognition of safety signs, and 6S literacy training for the workshop.
2. Display of working principles and drive structures for the power system, transmission system, lubrication and cooling system, operation panel, worktable, tool magazine, etc.
3. Classification of common and special fixtures, structure and composition forms of typical CNC machining fixtures, usage methods and precautions for universal fixtures, usage methods and precautions for complex part fixtures, etc.
4. Classification of measuring tools, usage methods and precautions for typical CNC machining measuring tools, structural shapes of typical measuring tools, including but not limited to: Mitutoyo's right-angle protractors, vernier calipers, external micrometers, gauge blocks, digital vernier calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, height vernier gauges, lever dial indicators, dial inside calipers. The dials are fully equipped with accurate and clear scales.
5. Daily maintenance of machine tools.
6. Training on the functions of the machine tool operation panel.
7. Training on handwheel control operation of machine tools.
8. Pre-startup checks, startup, and reference point return operations.
9. Using a standard tool to calibrate the Z-axis zero point coordinates, using a standard tool to measure tool length, using a mechanical edge finder to set the workpiece coordinate system in the X and Y directions, achieving tool setting training in a virtual environment.
