Automotive High-Voltage Wire Flame Retardant Tester

Automotive High-Voltage Wire Flame Retardancy Tester is developed and produced in accordance with standards such as GB/T25085-2016 "Road Vehicles—60V and 600V Single-Core Cables" and ISO6722:2006. This equipment is an upgraded version of Jinsen's ordinary electromechanically controlled automotive wire flame retardancy testing machine. The chassis features a cold-rolled sheet with painted exterior; it employs touch screen + PLC control and semi-automatic mechanical operation.

Automotive High-Voltage Wire Flame Retardancy Tester is used to determine the flame retardancy performance of 60V and 600V single-core cables for road vehicles. The sample clamp is equipped with a tension adjustment mechanism for easy clamping and tightening of the sample; the sample maintains an angle of (45°±1°) relative to the vertical line, with the shortest distance from any part of the sample to the combustion chamber wall being 100mm; the wire bundle clamping straightening stroke (mm): ≥10mm.

Technical Parameters:

1. Advanced PLC control, true color LCD display (standard 7-inch Weintek 16:9 touch screen), allowing for upgraded user-friendly operation interface;

2. At the end of the test, the equipment automatically generates a test report, which can be printed;

3. Flame height adjustment range: (10-100)mm, with a collection tray placed under the sample clamp to collect molten droplets during combustion;

4. Ignition time: 0.1-999.9S continuously adjustable, flame can continuously burn the sample within the set time, and can automatically reset to zero;

5. Time display resolution: 0.1s;

6. Gas burner: flame application and control method: automatic ignition, automatic time control;

7. Combustion tube inner diameter: 9mm, internal blue flame cone temperature reaches (950±50)°C, length should be 50mm;

8. Sample holder: sample clamp holding range (mm): ≥600*(φ0.3-φ17.0);

9. Fume hood: the chamber has good sealing, effectively avoiding harm to operators from smoke and harmful gases generated during sample combustion; the front observation window is equipped with oversized tempered heat-resistant glass for easy observation of the test process; uses LED standard lighting components, with bright illumination and easy replacement;

10. Gas detection and control system: includes gas leakage detection, audible and visual alarms, and automatic gas source shut-off function, enabling real-time gas monitoring of the combustion test equipment and test site, effectively ensuring equipment and personal safety. The liquefied gas tank pressure reducer has gas pipeline pressure detection function. If the gas hose is accidentally disconnected and gas pressure drops sharply, the pressure reducer will automatically shut off the gas source. After troubleshooting and reconnecting the gas hose, press the pressure reducer button to restore the gas supply;

11. Exhaust and smoke extraction device: high-power exhaust fan quickly removes smoke generated by sample combustion after the test, while rapidly reducing temperature;

Test Procedure:  

Tilt and suspend the sample in the wind-proof chamber, align the flame cone tip with the sample as shown in Figure 1, and apply the flame at a distance of (500±5)mm from the top of the insulation. The flame can be removed upon visible conductor exposure: for wires with a cross-section not exceeding 2.5mm², remove after 15s; for wires larger than 2.5mm², remove after 30s.

Test Requirements:

Wires must undergo flame retardancy testing. After flame removal, self-extinguishing should occur within 70s, with at least 50mm of unburned insulation remaining at the top of the sample.
