I. Product Overview
The Scratch Resistance Tester is an instrument used to determine the scratch resistance performance of material surfaces. According to applicable standards, such as GB/T 17657-2022 Test Methods for the Physical and Chemical Properties of Wood-Based Panels and Surface-Decorated Wood-Based Panels, this instrument can determine the ability of the surface decorative layer of a test specimen to resist scratching by a diamond needle under a certain force.
The Scratch Resistance Tester typically consists of the following components:
1. Main unit: Includes a motor, transmission device, and control system, etc., used to provide the necessary power for testing and control the testing process.
2. Scratch needle: Usually made of diamond material, featuring a sharp edge and a certain level of hardness, used to perform scratching operations on the surface of the test specimen.
3. Loading device: Used to apply a certain force to the scratch needle to simulate scratching conditions that may occur during actual use.
4. Measurement device: Used to measure the contact force or displacement between the scratch needle and the surface of the test specimen, enabling analysis and evaluation of test results.
5. Computer control system: Used to control the entire testing process, record and analyze test data, and generate corresponding test reports.
When using the Scratch Resistance Tester for testing, the sample to be tested must first be fixed on the testing platform, and the position and force of the loading device adjusted. Then, the testing process is initiated via the computer control system, and the scratch needle performs scratching operations on the sample surface under the action of the loading device. Meanwhile, the measurement device monitors the contact force or displacement between the scratch needle and the sample surface in real time and feeds this data back to the computer control system. Finally, based on the test data and standard requirements, the computer control system automatically calculates the scratch resistance performance indicators of the sample and generates the corresponding test report.
