IEC61730 Photovoltaic Module Flammability Tester

【Product Use】

Photovoltaic Module Flammability Tester is designed and developed in accordance with standards BS_EN IEC61730-2:2018 (MST24) and ISO11925-2-2010. It is suitable for determining the flammability of photovoltaic modules by directly applying a small flame to vertically placed specimens without external radiation. The Photovoltaic Module Flammability Tester features a custom large combustion chamber, specimen fixtures, and exhaust system tailored to the dimensions of photovoltaic cell products. The maximum specimen size is 1.4 meters wide and 2.5 meters high, which can be conveniently loaded through the front door and rotated 90 degrees on the specimen fixation device.

【Product Parameters】

1) Control system: Uses a programmable logic controller (PLC) + touch screen intelligent control system, supports English operation interface, and includes test report saving and printing functions.

2) Test environment wind speed: Adjustable control method; must ensure that the wind speed 5 cm from the sample surface does not exceed 0.2 m/s vertically and 0.1 m/s horizontally (equipped with a wind speed adjustment device and a Testo (model 425) thermal anemometer to achieve target wind speed).

3) Combustion chamber temperature measurement: Temperature measurement range 0°C–150°C, accuracy 0.1°C, with preset over-temperature alarm; includes smoke detection alarm, audible and visual alarm (upon customer request); features low and high gas pressure alarm shutdown with audible and visual alarm (upon customer request).

4) Flame application timing: Automatic ignition and timing; timing accuracy 0.01s, flame automatically extinguishes after reaching the set burning time.

5) Flame height: Continuously adjustable from 10–100mm.

6) Specimen burning time timing: Manual button and automatic control timing upon positioning; timing accuracy 0.01s (timing starts automatically or manually after burner is in position, manually paused when afterflame extinguishes).

7) Combustion chamber internal dimensions: Width 2250 × Depth 2000 × Height 2850 (mm).

8) Power supply: 220VAC -15% to 220VAC +10%, 10A (single-phase three-wire system) with leakage protection current of 5mA.

9) Specimen fixture: Can clamp specimens up to 1400mm × 2500mm, adjustable in width and length, and capable of 90-degree rotation.

10) Gas burner: A, complies with Clause 4.3 of ISO11925-2:2010 standard; B, can rotate 0–90 degrees along the vertical axis and move linearly left and right (speed and distance adjustable), tiltable at 0° and 45° angles; C, the gas burner assembly can be vertically adjusted with a stroke of 0–400mm, can move to within 40mm of the sample bottom, burn the sample bottom, and reach 1.5mm from the surface. At least 30cm width at the lower part of the component must be exposed to allow flame burning.

11) Gas used for burner: Propane gas (provided by customer).

12) Equipped with gas leakage alarm function, which alerts and automatically cuts off the gas supply upon leakage.

13) Lighting: Built-in explosion-proof lamp.

14) Gas pipeline: Equipment gas pipeline is equipped with anti-backflow shut-off device, high-precision needle valve, and gas pressure gauge to control flame height.

15) Overall dimensions: Width 2600mm × Depth 2100mm × Height 3350mm (2mm 304 stainless steel with orange peel paint finish, matte black inside combustion chamber, luxury outward-opening door: size 1800mm × 2300mm, observation windows installed at front and right sides made of heat-resistant explosion-proof glass).

Equipment Configuration:

3) Tray: One stainless steel tray placed under the sample to collect debris

4) Steel ruler: One, range over 600 mm, accuracy 1 mm

5) Fixation device: Double U-shaped structure made of stainless steel, can accommodate up to 5cm thickness. Two sets (one standard with the device, one spare)

6) Voltage stabilizer: Can meet 240V (single-phase) or 415V (three-phase) (selected at time of manufacture)

7) Gas inlet equipped with pressure gauge, capable of up to 100Kpa

8) Emergency stop switch: Can shut off gas input.
