Ball Pressure Test Apparatus is designed and manufactured according to the requirements of relevant ball pressure test standards. It is a specialized instrument used to test the heat resistance of non-metallic materials. It is suitable for heat resistance testing of non-metallic materials such as electrical equipment and its components and parts, as well as non-ceramic solid electrical insulating materials.

Usage Precautions:
Before conducting experiments using this device, the sample must be kept in an environment with a temperature between 15°C and 35°C and humidity between 45% and 75% for 24 hours. Then, check whether the set value of the digital temperature controller of the drying oven meets the required test temperature. After completing the pre-test checks, the test operation can proceed. However, during the operation, the following points should be noted:
1. The ball pressure device must be preheated to reach the set stable temperature.
2. When performing high-temperature operations, the operator must wear heat-insulating gloves to avoid burns.
3. If the digital temperature controller is inaccurate or damaged, it must be repaired or replaced immediately to prevent misjudgment.
4. Pay attention to fire safety; flammable materials should not be placed around the drying oven.
Test Procedure:
1. Prepare the test sample. If the surface of the test component is prone to bending during the test, the ball pressure area on the surface should be supported. For this purpose, if the test cannot be performed on the entire sample, an appropriate portion should be cut from the sample. The thickness of the test sample should be at least 2.5mm. If this thickness is not available, stack two or more test samples together for testing.
2. When the drying oven reaches the preset temperature, place the sample in the drying oven and heat it for 1 hour before applying the load.
3. After 1 hour of heating, place the sample on the ball pressure device and apply the load. The test is conducted for 1 hour.
4. Remove the ball pressure device from the sample. Soak the sample in cold water for 10 seconds to cool it to near room temperature, then measure the diameter of the indentation caused by the ball pressure. (An indentation diameter of less than 2mm is considered acceptable.) If the test surface is curved and the indentation is elliptical, measure the minor axis of the indentation.
5. After the test is completed, pay attention to instrument maintenance. The operator must turn off the instrument power when leaving the workstation.
