Iron Powder Ball Binder

Iron powder cold-pressed pellet binder is a polymer material specifically used for cold-pressing iron powder into pellets. It has the following characteristics:

1. Excellent binding performance: It enables iron powder particles to bond tightly, forming high-strength pellets that meet requirements for furnace smelting.
2. Easy to use: Typically, it only requires mixing the binder with iron powder, then adding an appropriate amount of water and stirring evenly to proceed with cold-pressing molding.
3. Low dosage: With strong binding force, a small amount can achieve ideal results, thereby reducing production costs.
4. No impact on grade: It does not significantly reduce the grade of iron powder pellets, ensuring the quality of the finished product.
5. Good molding effect: The pellets produced have a high molding rate and an even, aesthetically pleasing appearance.
6. High strength: Both wet and dry pellets exhibit high strength, for example, dry pellet strength can reach over 100 kg, and they possess certain impact resistance, reducing breakage during handling and use.
7. Environmentally friendly: Made from eco-friendly materials, it is safe for humans and environmentally friendly.
8. Usage method: Generally, the binder is first evenly added to the iron powder material (the ratio of material to binder is typically around 100:1 to 100:3, adjusted based on factors such as material particle size and specific surface area). Then, depending on the material's moisture level, an appropriate amount of water is sprayed, and after thorough mixing, cold-pressing can proceed. In practical use, refer to the product instructions and optimize adjustments according to specific conditions.

9. Jinhan Iron Powder Binder is a commonly used product. It is polymerized from high-molecular eco-friendly materials and possesses properties such as hydrophilicity, complexation, and cold-setting. It can be used for molding waste materials like iron powder, iron filings, iron slag, and steel slag. Each ton can produce 35 to 50 tons, with a molding rate of 98%, and the finished pellets remain intact after a 3-meter drop. Its product indicators comply with the standard Q/HJSY 001-2022. It is in the form of a free-flowing powder, with a fineness (pass rate through a 250μm (60 mesh) sieve) ≥90.0%, moisture content ≤12.0%, pH value 7.0-9.0, bulk density 1000±300g/L, and viscosity ≥5mPa·s. When using this binder, the direct dry powder addition method can be employed: evenly mix the binder into the material (the ratio of material to binder is generally 2-3%), stir thoroughly, add water, mix well, and then proceed with cold-pressing molding.

   There is also a no-drying iron powder cold-pressed pellet binder produced by Henan Jinhan Environmental Protection Co., Ltd., with a dosage of 2-4.0%. It can be directly mixed with wet iron powder, stirred, and cold-pressed into pellets without the need for drying. The pellets can be loaded for transport after 2 days, with pellet moisture content within 3%. The bursting temperature of its cold-pressed pellets is 950°C, and after drying, the compressive strength of a single pellet is ≥2000N. It does not increase ash content or reduce calorific value and grade.
