Using the CIP system complies with GMP requirements and achieves validation of the cleaning process.
1. Eliminate chemical residues, prevent microbial contamination, and avoid cross-batch contamination;
2. Compared to manual washing, it not only eliminates operator variability affecting results but also improves product quality, prevents the hazards of alkalis and acids during operation, and significantly reduces labor requirements;
3. Saves on cleaning agents, steam, and water costs;
4. Extends the service life of machine components.
The four key elements of the CIP cleaning system:
The effectiveness of the CIP cleaning system depends on four elements: temperature (thermal effect), turbulence (mechanical effect), time (duration effect), and titration (chemical effect).
1. Temperature (thermal effect) varies in impact depending on the medium and must be set accordingly;
2. Turbulence (mechanical effect) requires a flow velocity of >2 m/s to be effective (Senbo's CIP system design achieves a flow velocity exceeding 3 m/s);
3. Time (duration effect) The CIP cycle duration is determined by key parameters such as solvent temperature, equipment type, process requirements, and equipment operating time;
4. Titration (chemical effect) The cleaning efficiency of detergents depends on the nature of the soil. Synergistic use of multiple cleaning agents yields better results, and concentration is determined based on the turbidity of residues on the equipment (which relates to the process used and operating time, among other factors).
