Function and Use:

Primarily acts as a stomach poison and contact insecticide, inhibiting insect chitin synthesis, causing larvae to molt and fail to form a new cuticle, leading to deformity and death. Due to its high efficiency, low toxicity, and broad-spectrum characteristics, it can be used to control Coleoptera, Diptera, and Lepidoptera pests on corn, cotton, forests, fruits, and soybeans, without harming natural enemies. The triflumuron series products are insect chitin synthesis inhibitors and belong to the benzoylurea class of insect growth regulators. They mainly act as stomach poisons in insects, with some contact action but no systemic effects, and exhibit good ovicidal activity. Triflumuron is a low-toxicity insecticide, with an acute oral LD50 in rats of ≥5000 mg/kg for the technical material, and no significant irritation to rabbit eye mucosa or skin. Test results indicate no significant cumulative toxicity in animals, and no carcinogenic, teratogenic, or mutagenic effects observed. This product is mainly used to control Lepidoptera and Coleoptera pests such as the apple leaf miner, cabbage worm, diamondback moth, armyworm, and pine moth, with control efficacy reaching over 90%. The duration of effectiveness can last up to 30 days, and it is non-toxic to birds, fish, bees, etc., without disrupting ecological balance.
