1. Introduction to PoHS Regulation
PoHS, the English full name is Prohibition on Certain Hazardous Substances in Consumer Products. It is translated into Chinese as "Prohibition of Specific Hazardous Substances in Consumer Products." On June 8, 2007, Norway notified the WTO, proposing the requirement to "prohibit certain hazardous chemical substances in consumer products," stating that it would restrict 18 substances in consumer products, known as the PoHS Regulation.
2. Products Involved
It covers all consumer products except food, food packaging, fertilizers, medical devices, tobacco, transportation vehicles, and their附属设备. The product categories included are not only electronic and electrical consumer goods but also clothing, bags, construction materials, toys, etc.
