To accelerate the improvement of ambient air quality and win the Blue Sky Defense War, the State Administration for Market Regulation and the National Standardization Management Committee jointly issued multiple national mandatory standards for VOC raw material products (coatings, adhesives, inks, and cleaning agents) in 2020. These efforts vigorously promote source substitution and reduce VOC generation. VOC control has gradually shifted from end-of-pipe treatment to a combination of end-of-pipe treatment and source control. This change has had a profound impact on a wide range of enterprises involved in the production, use, and distribution of VOC raw materials. VOC is the English abbreviation for Volatile Organic Compounds. It generally refers to organic compounds that easily volatilize at room temperature. Common examples include benzene, toluene, xylene, ethylbenzene, styrene, formaldehyde, TVOC (alkanes with 6-16 carbons), ketones, and others. These compounds are characterized by their volatility and lipophilicity and are widely used in industrial sectors such as footwear, toys, paints and inks, adhesives, cosmetics, and interior and automotive decoration materials.
