1. Introduction to Industrial Wastewater

Industrial wastewater (English: industrial wastewater) includes production wastewater and production sewage, referring to the wastewater and waste liquid generated during industrial production processes. It contains industrial raw materials, intermediate products, by-products, and pollutants produced during manufacturing that are lost with water discharge. This is the water discharged during production processes.

2. Classification of Industrial Wastewater

Based on the chemical nature of the main pollutants contained in industrial wastewater, it can be classified into: inorganic wastewater primarily containing inorganic pollutants, organic wastewater mainly containing organic pollutants, mixed wastewater containing both organic and inorganic substances, heavy metal wastewater, wastewater containing radioactive materials, and cooling water only affected by thermal pollution. For example, electroplating wastewater and mineral processing wastewater are inorganic, while food or petroleum processing wastewater is organic.

According to the products and processing objects of industrial enterprises, it can be divided into papermaking wastewater, textile wastewater, tannery wastewater, pesticide wastewater, metallurgical wastewater, oil refining wastewater, etc.

Based on the main components of pollutants in the wastewater, it can be categorized as acidic wastewater, alkaline wastewater, phenol-containing wastewater, chromium-containing wastewater, organic phosphorus-containing wastewater, radioactive wastewater, etc.

3. Testing Process
