Additionally, the inner wall of the lance's steel tube is partially lined with ceramics, further enhancing its wear resistance and high-temperature performance.

The PQ-1700 blast furnace pulverized coal lance is a specialized coal injection device designed for blast furnaces. Its structure is simple and easy to operate, consisting of components such as the lance tube, lance head sleeve, multi-hole lance head, and lance head cap. The design of the multi-hole lance head is particularly unique, with multiple evenly spaced round holes at the tip that divide the coal powder airflow into multiple fine streams. These streams rapidly mix with the blast furnace hot air, promoting full combustion of the coal powder and thereby improving its utilization rate.
During operation, the lance is inserted into the blast furnace through a bayonet-mounted end to begin work. When coal injection is required, the lance can quickly and accurately inject pulverized coal to meet the production needs of the blast furnace. When coal injection stops, the ball in the ball valve automatically resets, effectively preventing the leakage of high-temperature gas and ensuring production safety. Although this lance is highly reliable and stable, abnormal damage may still occur under special circumstances, which could be related to system malfunctions, improper operation, poor furnace conditions, and other factors.
When dealing with lance damage, the first step is to rule out quality issues with the lance. When damage occurs, a thorough analysis and inspection of the damage condition should be conducted to identify the cause and resolve the issue. Particularly for lances that experience sudden abnormal damage in a short period, the forms of damage can vary. For example, burn-through and melting typically occur within 500 mm of the lance front end inside the straight blowpipe, which may be caused by excessive system thermal load or improper operation. Perforation and leakage are another common form of damage, which can occur at any part of the lance but is closely related to its service life. Through scientific and reasonable maintenance, the service life of these critical devices can be effectively extended, ensuring the smooth progress of blast furnace ironmaking.
