Operating Principle of a Ball Valve

It is a well-designed valve specifically engineered for blast furnace tuyeres, connecting to the coal injection lance. When the lance is inserted into the blast furnace, this valve automatically opens to ensure smooth injection operations. Upon withdrawal of the lance, the valve closes automatically through its precise internal mechanical structure, driven by furnace pressure and its own weight, effectively preventing the escape of hot furnace gases.

      This new equipment involves an improvement in blast furnace pulverized coal injection devices, specifically an arc-swirl nozzle wheel for blast furnace coal injection. The technical solution consists of a lance pipe and a nozzle head, with a spherical pulverized coal atomization disk installed at the top of the nozzle head. A specially designed gap for coal powder airflow is created between the atomization disk and the end of the lance pipe, allowing the coal powder airflow to pass through the lance pipe and nozzle head, be divided by the atomization disk, and ejected in an umbrella-shaped spray, forming a atomized coal powder stream. These fine coal powder streams instantly mix thoroughly with the blast furnace hot air, significantly improving the combustion rate of the coal powder and enhancing the mixing ratio between the coal powder and the blast furnace hot air.

       In the blast furnace coal injection systems of domestic steel enterprises, ball valves are widely used. They are also installed on blast furnace tuyeres to connect with the coal injection lance. When the coal injection lance is inserted into the blast furnace, the ball valve automatically opens.
