The ball valve (also known as the spray gun check valve) is a critical component in the blast furnace pulverized coal injection system, primarily used to control pulverized coal transportation and prevent the leakage of high-temperature gas from the furnace. Its core functions include:
Automatic Opening and Closing: Opens when the coal injection lance is inserted and automatically closes via ball gravity or pressure difference when retracted, sealing the hot air inside the furnace;
Safety Protection: Prevents backflow of high-temperature gas (≤350°C) and pulverized coal from the blast furnace, ensuring operational safety;
Quick Connection: Works with the quick-connect fitting of the coal injection lance to achieve efficient sealing and disassembly.
Main Types of Ball Valves
1. Classification by Shape
Date Pit-shaped Ball Valve: Streamlined design, suitable for straight blowpipe connections, reducing airflow resistance;
Square Ball Valve: Compact structure, easy to install in space-constrained areas;
Elbow-shaped/Gourd-shaped: Adapts to special pipeline layouts, such as complex configurations in blast furnace pulverized coal injection systems.
2. Classification by Function
DZF-I Type: Basic model, suitable for conventional coal injection scenarios, pressure resistance of 0.6MPa;
DZF-II Type: Enhanced sealing, shell test pressure up to 0.9MPa, suitable for high-pressure environments.
