Belt Cleaner

Belt cleaner, also known as a scraper blade, is mainly used at the head and tail of the belt conveyor to prevent dust during material transportation. When placed at the head of the belt conveyor, the belt cleaner is primarily used to scrape off adhered materials and debris from the front side of the belt; when placed at the tail of the belt conveyor, it is mainly used to remove accumulated materials and debris from the back side of the belt, preventing them from being carried into the tail drum.

It is mainly used at the head and tail of the belt conveyor. Main issues during the use of the cleaner:

Poor cleaning performance of the belt cleaner. Some installed cleaners in certain areas have caused many safety accidents. It is often found that 7-8 cleaners are installed at one cleaning point, but the actual cleaning effect is poor. In some areas, after installing the cleaner, belt joint cracking occurs, leading to overall belt tearing. These issues are caused by the following factors:

1, Incorrect selection of the cleaner

2, Incorrect installation position of the cleaner

3, Non-wear-resistant scraper blade of the cleaner

The so-called incorrect selection mainly refers to the failure to choose the cleaner based on specific working conditions. For example, if the conveyor belt uses a mechanical joint, an alloy cleaner cannot be installed; herringbone belts must use roller-type cleaners; polyurethane blades are only suitable for one-way belt cleaning, among other issues. Secondary cleaners using polyurethane cannot meet the cleaning requirements, etc.

Cleaner manufacturers should provide necessary technical support, such as conducting scientific and effective analysis based on the customer's on-site working conditions, accurately selecting the cleaner, providing practical installation and fixing methods, and offering effective solutions when problems arise.
