The DDZ type belt break catcher for belt conveyors enhances product performance and expands the scope of protection, widely applicable for belt protection in conveyors operating in mines, metallurgy, power plants, ports, and docks. It is especially suitable for steep incline, high-capacity, long-distance uphill强力 or standard belt conveyors. In the event of a belt break or failure of the backstop, the belt break catcher can quickly capture the heavy or empty sections of the belt that suddenly slip after breakage or loss of control, and also functions to prevent belt misalignment. When necessary, it can serve as a belt clamp.
Working Principle:
The belt break protection device is installed at multiple points along the belt conveyor. During normal operation, the central one-way roller rotates with the belt, while the left and right wedge-shaped brake blocks remain below the belt without contact. The upper brake block is adjusted to both sides of the belt, parallel to the belt longitudinally. In case of a belt break, the slipping upper brake block quickly rotates above the belt, and the wedge-shaped brake blocks continue to move along the wedge-shaped groove, clamping and braking the slipping belt between the upper brake block and the wedge-shaped brake blocks.
Performance Features:
1. Wedge self-locking brakes the belt without external power.
2. Brake blocks contact the belt surface, providing a large braking area without damaging the belt.
3. The upper brake block can swing, open, and is adjustable up and down.
4. The length of the upper brake block extension can be set by adjusting the bolts above it according to the load capacity.
5. Key components are galvanized to prevent rust.
6. Integrated mounting bracket offers high strength and easy installation.
7. Can be equipped with a belt break alarm device as per user requirements.

Applicable Conditions:
1. Upward belt conveyors with belt widths of 650～2000mm
2. Rigid frame and suspended belt conveyors
3. Belt conveyor inclination: α≥6°
4. Troughing idler angle: Suitable for various trough angles
1. During inspection, adjustment, or part replacement, the conveyor must be stopped and power cut off.
2. The number and spacing of belt break catchers installed on the conveyor should comply with Table 1 and Table 2; otherwise, reliable catching protection cannot be guaranteed.
3. After catching, note the following:
（1）After the belt break catcher activates, the belt should be handled promptly; do not leave the belt and catcher in the catching state for an extended period.
（2）First, check if the belt break catcher is deformed or if any welds have cracked; replace if issues are found. Also, check all fasteners for looseness and tighten them all.
（3）Check if the friction plate assembly and backstop idler operate flexibly and reliably without obstruction, and if there is any looseness in the配合; if problems are found, prohibit use and replace immediately.
