The HRRD70 intrinsically safe radar level gauge is developed based on the principle of Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) radar technology. This technology offers higher measurement accuracy and stability compared to traditional pulsed radar measurement techniques. It exhibits excellent adaptability and anti-interference capability in high-dust and high-humidity environments. The device is primarily used for measuring silo levels, on-site display, and data uploading. Through accurate and timely monitoring of silo levels, it enables control over silo operations. The device features a rich set of interfaces, including a 4–20mA standard instrument current output, RS485 digital communication functionality, and high/low level limit setting with alarm output.
>Working Principle
FMCW frequency-modulated continuous wave measurement technology differs from traditional ultrasonic or pulsed radar wave measurement techniques. The FMCW radar level gauge operates on the principle of linear frequency modulation, using a high-frequency signal whose transmission frequency increases linearly over a fixed time interval (scan frequency). Since the transmission frequency varies with the signal propagation time and is proportional to the distance of the reflective object, the level height is determined by the difference between the current transmission frequency and the received reflection frequency.
