Uses:
Can be used as a desiccant, dehydrating agent, refrigerant, antifreeze for aviation and automotive internal combustion engines, concrete antifreeze, fabric fire retardant, food preservative, etc. Desiccant and dehydrating agent for organic liquids and gases. Determination of carbon content in steel. Measurement of whole blood glucose, serum inorganic phosphorus, and serum alkaline phosphatase activity.
Product Description:
A typical ionic halide. Appearance is white, hard fragments or granules. Slightly bitter, odorless. Calcium chloride has outstanding adsorption capacity for ammonia and low desorption temperature, showing great potential in synthetic ammonia adsorption and separation. However, due to its difficulty in forming stable porous materials, small contact area with gaseous ammonia, and tendency to expand and agglomerate during adsorption and desorption, it is challenging to apply in this area practically. Supporting calcium chloride on a high-specific-surface carrier can significantly increase its contact area with gaseous ammonia. Related studies have shown that composite adsorbents prepared by supporting calcium chloride on molecular sieves exhibit better adsorption performance and stability than single adsorbents.
Product Characteristics:
Colorless cubic crystal, white or off-white, solid at room temperature. Slightly toxic, odorless, slightly bitter taste. Extremely hygroscopic, easily deliquesces when exposed to air. Highly soluble in water, releasing a large amount of heat (the dissolution enthalpy of calcium chloride is -176.2 cal/g), with its aqueous solution being slightly acidic. Soluble in alcohol, acetone, and acetic acid.
Product Advantages:
Purity higher than national standards; stable performance. Color: white
Toxicity: Toxic, strongly irritating
Storage: Cool, ventilated

Hazard Overview
Routes of Entry: Inhalation of dust, ingestion.
Health Hazards: Dust can burn and irritate the nose, mouth, and throat, and may cause nosebleeds and damage nasal tissues; dry powder can irritate the skin, and solutions can severely irritate or even burn the skin.
Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing and rinse with plenty of running water.
Eye Contact: Lift eyelids and rinse with running water or saline. Seek medical attention.
Inhalation: Move to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, administer oxygen. Seek medical attention.
Ingestion: Drink plenty of warm water and induce vomiting. Seek medical attention.
Operational Precautions
Operate in a closed system with enhanced ventilation. Operators must receive specialized training and strictly follow operating procedures. It is recommended that operators wear self-priming filtering dust masks to avoid generating dust. Handle with care during transportation to prevent damage to packaging and containers.
Storage Precautions
Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Packaging containers must be sealed to prevent moisture. Keep separate from deliquescent items.
