Uses:
Can be used as a desiccant, dehydrating agent, refrigerant, antifreeze for aviation and automotive internal combustion engines, concrete antifreeze, fabric fire retardant, food preservative, etc. Desiccant and dehydrating agent for organic liquids and gases. Determines carbon content in steel. Measures whole blood glucose, serum inorganic phosphorus, and serum alkaline phosphatase activity.

Product Description:
Typical ionic halide. Appearance is white, hard fragments or granules. Slightly bitter, odorless. Calcium chloride has outstanding adsorption capacity for ammonia and low desorption temperature, showing great application prospects in synthetic ammonia adsorption separation. However, because calcium chloride does not easily form stable porous materials, has a small contact area with gaseous ammonia, and tends to expand and agglomerate during adsorption and desorption, it is difficult to put into practical application in this regard. Loading calcium chloride onto a high specific surface area carrier can greatly increase the contact area with gaseous ammonia. Related studies have shown that composite adsorbents prepared by loading calcium chloride onto molecular sieves have better adsorption performance and stability than single adsorbents.

Colorless cubic crystal, white or off-white, white solid at room temperature. Slightly toxic, odorless, slightly bitter taste. Extremely hygroscopic, easily deliquesces when exposed to air.
