Uses
Mainly used in the production of n-butyl esters of phthalic acid, aliphatic dicarboxylic acids, and phosphoric acid as plasticizers, which are widely used in various plastic and rubber products. It is also a raw material in organic synthesis for producing butyraldehyde, butyric acid, butylamine, and butyl lactate. Additionally, it serves as an extractant for oils, pharmaceuticals (such as antibiotics, hormones, and vitamins), and fragrances, as well as an additive in alkyd resin coatings. It can also be used as a solvent for organic dyes and printing inks, and as a dewaxing agent.
Used in the production of butyl acetate, dibutyl phthalate, and phosphate-based plasticizers, as well as in the production of melamine resins, acrylic acid, epoxy varnishes, etc.; used as a chromatographic analysis reagent and in organic synthesis; used in formulating food flavors such as banana, cream, whiskey, and cheese.
