The plant appearance and cultivation management of colored peanuts are the same as those of ordinary peanuts. Both are annual herbaceous plants, but colored peanuts exhibit stronger adaptability and stress resistance. They can produce normal yields in sandy loam, acidic red, or yellow soil. Their symbiotic nitrogen fixation with rhizobia plays a significant role in improving soil compaction and enhancing soil fertility.
Colored peanuts are medium-early maturing varieties with a growth period of 120 to 135 days. They are suitable for mulching and sowing around late April, with a planting density of about 10,000 holes per mu (667 square meters), 2 seeds per hole, and approximately 20,000 plants per mu. With sufficient base fertilizer and enhanced mid-to-late stage management, the yield generally ranges from 250 to 400 kg.
