Product Description: NIKO Niko Lift Check Valve, also known as a one-way valve or non-return valve, automatically opens and closes through the flow of the medium in the pipeline and the force generated by a spring, making it an automatic valve. Check valves are used in pipeline systems primarily to prevent backflow of the medium, reverse rotation of pumps and their drive motors, and leakage of medium from containers. Check valves can also be used in pipelines that supply auxiliary systems where pressure may exceed that of the main system. The function of a check valve is to allow medium to flow in only one direction and prevent reverse flow. Typically, this type of valve operates automatically: under the pressure of fluid flowing in one direction, the valve disc opens; when fluid flows in the opposite direction, the fluid pressure and the self-weight of the valve disc act on the valve seat, cutting off the flow. Among these, internal thread check valves and butterfly check valves belong to this type, including swing check valves and lift check valves. Swing check valves have a hinge mechanism and a disc that rests freely against the inclined seat surface like a door. To ensure the disc reaches the proper position on the seat surface each time, the disc is designed within the hinge mechanism to allow sufficient swing space and ensure full contact with the seat. The disc can be made entirely of metal or have leather, rubber, or synthetic coverings embedded in the metal, depending on performance requirements. When fully open, swing check valves offer minimal resistance to fluid pressure, resulting in relatively low pressure drop across the valve. In lift check valves, the disc rests on the sealing surface of the valve seat in the valve body. Apart from the disc being free to lift, the rest of the valve is similar to a globe valve. Fluid pressure lifts the disc from the valve seat sealing surface, and medium backflow causes the disc to fall back onto the seat, cutting off the flow. Depending on usage conditions, the disc can be entirely metal or have rubber pads or rings embedded in the disc frame. Like globe valves, the flow passage through lift check valves is narrow, so the pressure drop across lift check valves is greater than that of swing check valves, and swing check valves offer less restriction to flow.
NIKO Niko Lift Check Valve Structural Features: The disc and valve seat sealing surfaces are hardfaced with iron-based alloy or Stellite cobalt-based hard alloy according to different requirements, offering good wear resistance, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, anti-galling performance, and long service life. Various matching pipe flange standards and flange sealing surface types are available to meet various engineering needs and user requirements, the valve body materials are comprehensive, and gaskets can be reasonably selected based on actual working conditions or user requirements, making them suitable for various pressure, temperature, and medium conditions. Check valves of different structural and connection types can be designed and manufactured according to user requirements for use with various equipment.
Applied in: petroleum, chemical, fiber, power plants, steel mills, papermaking, thermal oil, steam, cold and hot water systems, and other industries and working conditions.
