LC-TS5M Computerized Front-of-Furnace Carbon-Silicon-Manganese Analyzer
I. Instrument Introduction
The Carbon-Silicon-Manganese Analyzer is used for rapid determination of molten iron properties such as carbon equivalent CE%, carbon content C%, silicon content Si%, manganese content Mn%, and spheroidization rate SG% in front of the furnace for gray cast iron and ductile cast iron; it predicts the tensile strength of ordinary gray cast iron. Non-professionals can operate it after simple training; testing is completed within the waiting time of the molten iron, and then adjustments are made to the molten iron composition based on the automatically calculated amounts of carburizer, ferrosilicon, and scrap steel to effectively guide production practices.
II. Main Functions
1. Measurement functions: determination of parameters such as carbon equivalent, carbon content, silicon content, manganese content, spheroidization rate, tensile strength, and Brinell hardness;
2. Prediction of tensile strength and Brinell hardness for gray cast iron;
3. Determination of tensile strength and hardness of gray cast iron molten iron after inoculation, predicting inoculation effects;
4. After composition determination, the system automatically calculates the adjustment amounts of alloys based on the target values of carbon, silicon, and manganese content preset by the user;
5. Measurement results of the Carbon-Silicon-Manganese Analyzer are automatically saved;
6. Historical cooling curves and historical measurement results can be reproduced at any time;
7. Measurement data can be exported to Excel for data analysis, or copied to an office computer via USB interface for storage and analysis;
8. Automatic printing is optional, compatible with any printer for quick printing of curves and measurement data.
III. Special Features
1. After composition determination, users can modify the target values of carbon, silicon, and manganese content according to product requirements to recalculate the adjustment amounts of alloys, making the adjusted molten iron composition better meet product requirements.
2. Determination of tensile strength and hardness of gray cast iron molten iron after inoculation, with higher accuracy of results.
