The HSY-446A paraffin stability tester is an instrument manufactured in accordance with the requirements of Appendix A of the national standard GB/T 446-2023. It is used to test the stability changes of paraffin samples under specific temperature and air flow conditions when exposed to ultraviolet light (365 nm) at a certain illuminance for a period of time. Method summary: Melted paraffin samples are placed in quartz sample dishes, and the sample surface is purged with air at a specific flow rate. The samples are exposed to specific ultraviolet illuminance and temperature conditions for a certain duration. During the test, the samples rotate at a constant speed to ensure uniform exposure. The color number of the samples is then measured, and the stability of the samples is represented by the change in color number. The instrument features an aesthetically pleasing and elegant exterior design, a rational structural design, convenient operation, and accurate result measurement.

II. Test Procedure
1. Heat the sample in an oven for a certain period to melt the paraffin sample. Note that the heating temperature should be below 70°C. Do not use an alcohol lamp or heating furnace for rapid heating to prevent rapid oxidation of the sample;
2. Place the melted sample into the sample dish, install the dish in the corresponding position on the turntable, and record the sample number for that position;
3. Set the illuminance value of the UV light source, test duration, turntable rotation speed, and air bath temperature;
4. Turn on the airflow switch and adjust the air flow rate;
5. Start the motor, begin test timing, and turn on the UV light source to commence the test;
6. When the exposure time reaches the set value, stop the airflow, halt heating and temperature control, stop the turntable rotation, and turn off the UV light source to end the test;
7. Open the top cover, remove the sample dish, and measure the color value of the sample.
