HSY-12579B Lubricating Oil Foam Characteristic Tester

The HSY-12579B Lubricating Oil Foam Characteristic Tester is designed and manufactured in accordance with the national standard GB/T12579 and the American Society for Testing and Materials standard ASTM D892. It is suitable for determining the foaming tendency and foam stability of lubricating oils under specified conditions. The lubricating oil anti-foaming tester mainly consists of high and low temperature baths, a power supply unit, an air flow regulation device, an immersion cooler, an air filter, a diffusion device, and other components.

II. Instrument Installation and Use

1.After unpacking the instrument, carefully remove the packaging materials and check against the instrument packing list to ensure all accessories are complete and undamaged.

2.Place the low-temperature bath and high-temperature bath on the left and right sides of the control box respectively, add an appropriate amount of medium; place the immersion cooler (cold head) into the low-temperature bath and secure it; connect the respective load plugs to their corresponding sockets.

Note: The medium in the constant temperature bath must be above the heating tube to avoid dry burning of the heating tube.

3.Insert the measuring cylinder containing the sample into the cylinder clamp and secure it, then tightly seal the cylinder with the rubber stopper inserted with the foam head rod, and connect the four air nozzles on the control box to each foam head rod with rubber tubes.

4.Turn on the power switch and the stirring switch, then turn on the immersion cooler switch and the air source switch. When the temperature reaches the set point, conduct the test according to the standard requirements. Adjust the gas flow rate by regulating the four flow meters and control valves.

5. After the test is completed, first turn off the immersion cooler switch and the air source switch, then turn off the main unit's stirring and power switch.
