>Pipe and Fitting Installation Methods

1. Pipe Cutting: Measure the required length and use tools such as a hacksaw, manual pipe cutter, or small circular saw to cut the pipe. After cutting, ensure both ends are vertical and flat. Use a file to remove burrs and chamfer the edges, but avoid excessive chamfering.

2. Pipe and Fitting Bonding: Before bonding, perform a trial assembly to determine the installation position and mark it. Lightly sand the connecting points of the pipe and fitting with sandpaper or gauze, then clean with acetone-soaked cotton. After the acetone evaporates, apply an even layer of adhesive to both the pipe and fitting with a brush, ensuring no areas are missed. Insert immediately and rotate to the desired angle. Use a wooden mallet to tap gently, ensuring the pipe is fully inserted into the socket. It will self-set in about 2–3 minutes. Do not attempt to disassemble or rotate forcefully during this time, as it may cause leakage. After assembly, promptly wipe off any excess adhesive to keep the pipeline clean.

3. Bell-End Pipe Connection: First, clean the inner wall of the bell-end pipe and the outer wall of the straight pipe insertion section. Place the rubber ring into the groove of the bell-end (with the sloped side facing outward). Apply lubricant to the insertion part of the straight pipe. Align and insert the straight pipe into the bell-end. Depending on the construction site, use a puller or pry bar to insert the straight pipe to the marked position. Measure the length of the bell-end section and mark it on the straight pipe (the length should be slightly shorter than the bell-end length).

· Quality: ABS and PVC-U products should have smooth inner and outer walls without burrs. Slight wrinkles and very fine dispersed impurities are acceptable.

· Packaging: Valves and fittings are packaged in cartons by specification; pipes are bundled in plastic woven bags by specification, with each bundle generally not exceeding 50 kg.
