Product Introduction
Hexagonal honeycomb packing (inclined tube packing) is available in three materials: polypropylene (PP), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and ethylene-propylene copolymer. It comes in two assembly forms: inclined tubes and straight tubes.
Scope of Application
Inclined tubes are mainly used for sedimentation and sand removal. Over the past decade, they have become widely adopted in water supply and drainage engineering as a key water treatment device. They offer advantages such as broad applicability, high treatment efficiency, and small footprint. Suitable for sand removal at water intakes, sedimentation in general industrial and domestic water supply, sewage sedimentation, oil separation, and tailings concentration, they are effective for both new projects and the renovation of existing old tanks, delivering significant economic benefits.
Straight tubes are primarily used as microbial carriers in high-load biological filters, tower biological filters, submerged biological filters (also known as contact oxidation tanks), and biological rotating disks for the biochemical treatment of industrial organic wastewater and municipal sewage.
Product Features
· Features of Inclined Tubes:
· 1. Large wetted perimeter, small hydraulic radius.
· 2. Excellent laminar flow conditions, with particle sedimentation undisturbed by turbulent flow.
· 3. When the inclined tube length is 1 meter, the effective load is designed at 3-5 tons/m²·h. With v0 controlled within 2.5-3.0 mm/s, the effluent quality is optimal.
· 4. When using honeycomb inclined tubes at water intakes with a tube length of 2.0–3.0 meters, they can safely operate and treat high turbidity water with sediment content of 50-100 kg/m³.
· 5. The treatment capacity of an inclined tube sedimentation tank is 3-5 times that of a horizontal flow sedimentation tank, and 2-3 times that of an accelerated clarifier or pulsator clarifier.
· Features of Straight Tubes:
· 1. Higher treatment efficiency than activated sludge process, with typical hydraulic loading of 100-200 m³/m²·day and organic loading of 2000-5000 g/m³, thus reducing the required footprint.
· 2. Lower aeration intensity than activated sludge process, and no sludge return is needed, reducing power consumption and simplifying management.
· 3. Reduced sludge production, decreasing the workload for subsequent sludge dewatering and other treatments.
· 4. The generated sludge has good settleability, facilitating the removal of suspended solids in subsequent stages.
· 5. Strong adaptability, suitable for a wide range of water qualities, with high tolerance to shock loads from sudden changes in water quality and quantity, maintaining stable treatment performance.
