▍ Working Principle
A three-dimensional force sensor is a sensor capable of simultaneously measuring forces on an object in three spatial directions (typically the X, Y, and Z axes, where Fx = Fy = 1/2Fz, Fx = Fy = Fz). Its working principle involves converting external forces into structural deformation through an elastomer element, which is then transformed into an electrical signal via strain gauges for measurement.
The working principle of a three-dimensional force sensor is based on mechanical principles and the resistance strain principle. It utilizes three independent measurement units to measure forces in three directions, including tension, compression, and torque. Each measurement unit consists of an elastomer and a force-sensitive element. When subjected to an external force, the elastomer deforms, causing a change in the resistance value of the force-sensitive element. By measuring the change in resistance, the direction and magnitude of the external force can be determined.
