▍ Working Principle

‌   A three-dimensional force sensor is a sensor capable of simultaneously measuring forces in three spatial directions (typically the X, Y, and Z axes, where Fx = Fy = 1/2Fz, Fx = Fy = Fz). Its working principle involves converting external forces into structural deformation through an elastic element, which is then transformed into an electrical signal via strain gauges for measurement.

The working principle of a three-dimensional force sensor is based on mechanical principles and the resistive strain principle. It utilizes three independent measurement units to measure forces in three directions, including tension, compression, and torque. Each measurement unit consists of an elastic body and a force-sensitive element. When subjected to an external force, the elastic body deforms, causing a change in the resistance value of the force-sensitive element. By measuring the change in resistance, the direction and magnitude of the external force can be determined.
