▍ Working Principle

The working principle of a combined load cell is based on strain measurement, primarily inferring weight by measuring the elastic deformation of an object after force is applied. Load cells typically consist of a load cell body and electronic instrumentation, with the core component being the load cell body, which is composed of a metal elastic element and strain gauges. When an object applies force to the load cell, the elastic element undergoes elastic deformation, causing the strain gauges to experience strain, which alters their resistance values. This, in turn, creates an imbalance in the bridge circuit. The unbalanced signal is detected by the circuit and converted into an electrical signal output, usually processed through amplifiers and analog-to-digital converters to output analog or digital signals.
