GB7000.1 Luminaire Test Chain SELV Component Accidental Short-Circuit Protection Test Clause 26.3 Figure 29

The test chain is designed and manufactured to meet the requirements of Clause 4.26 of the IEC60598 & GB7000.1 standards. It is primarily used for the accidental short-circuit protection test of uninsulated, accessible, and opposite SELV components in luminaires.

The test chain is made of copper-zinc alloy (Cu63Zn37), without any surface treatment or coating. Under a 200g/m load tension, its resistance value ranges between 2.5±20% Ω.

Usage Method:
Measure the resistance of the test chain to ensure it is within the range of 2.5±20% Ω.
Measure the spatial distance between the two poles of the SELV component, denoted as X, in centimeters (cm).
Attach standard weights = 15*X*g or a maximum of 250g to both ends of the test chain.
Install a thermocouple at an appropriate position on the sample under test and connect it to a temperature scanner.
Connect the sample to a power supply with 0.9~1.1 times the rated voltage.
Place the test chain and perform the short-circuit test.

Note: The melting of the test chain may cause burns.
