Centipeda minima—Plant Morphology (14 images) Centipeda minima is a small annual herb, 5-20cm tall. The stem is slender, much-branched, creeping at the base, easily rooting upon contact with the ground, hairless or slightly pubescent. Leaves are alternate; sessile; blade cuneate-oblanecolate, 7-20mm long, 3-5mm wide, apex obtuse, margin irregularly sparsely toothed, glabrous, or slightly hairy beneath. Capitula small, flattened spherical, about 3mm in diameter, solitary in leaf axils, without or nearly without peduncle; involucre hemispherical; involucral bracts in 2 layers, elliptic-lanceolate, green, margins membranous, outer layer larger than inner; receptacle flat, without paleae; flowers polygamous, pale yellow or yellow-green, all tubular; peripheral female flowers in several layers, corolla slender, with inconspicuous lobes; central bisexual flowers, corolla distinctly 4-lobed.
