Artemisia Argyi Oil
Artemisia argyi (scientific name: Artemisia argyi H. Lév. & Vaniot), also known as: Xiaomao, Bingtai, Ecao, Xiangai, Qiai, Aixiao, Aihao, Penggao, Ai, Moxa Grass, Medical Herb, Yellow Grass, Moxa Wool, etc. It is a perennial herb or slightly semi-shrub-like plant with a strong aromatic scent. The stems are solitary or few, brown or grayish-brown, slightly woody at the base, herbaceous in the upper part, with a few short branches. The leaves are thick and papery, covered with gray-white short hairs on the upper surface; the base usually lacks pseudostipules or has very small ones. The upper leaves and bract leaves are pinnately lobed. The capitula are elliptical, with tubular or goblet-shaped corollas, glandular spots on the outside, narrow linear anthers, and styles nearly equal to or slightly longer than the corolla. The achenes are long-ovate or oblong. Flowering and fruiting period: September to October.
