Fir oil

Scientific name of fir: (Abies fabri (Mast.) Craib) An evergreen tree with a straight trunk and whorled branches. The bark is gray or dark gray, splitting into irregular thin flakes that adhere to the trunk, with a light red inner bark; the large branches spread obliquely upward. One-year-old branches are pale brownish-yellow, pale grayish-yellow, or light brown, with sparse short hairs or no hairs in the grooves between the leaf cushions. Two- to three-year-old branches are pale brownish-gray or brownish-gray; winter buds are spherical or oval, containing resin. The cones are ovoid-cylindrical or short cylindrical, slightly wider at the base, rounded or slightly concave at the apex, with a short stalk, and become dark black or pale blue-black when mature. The flowering period is in May, and the cones mature in October.
