Dengzhanhua, also known as marigold or mountain marigold. An annual or biennial herbaceous plant in the Asteraceae family. Uyghur medicine name: Aimishe Bahar, aliases: Aiyouli Alaimi, Saida Bahar. It is the dried fruit of the Asteraceae plant Calendula officinalis L. It is cultivated in Xinjiang, Sichuan, Guizhou, Guangxi, Guangdong, Fujian, and other regions of China, and is also distributed in countries such as Iraq and Iran abroad. A perennial herb, 20–30 cm tall. The rhizome is woody, thick or twisted into a mass, ascending obliquely or spreading horizontally, branched or unbranched, with fibrous roots, and the neck is often covered with the base of residual leaves. Stems several or solitary, 5–50 cm tall, base diameter 1–1.5 mm, erect or slightly curved at the base, green or rarely purple, with distinct stripes, unbranched or sometimes with a few (2–4) branches, sparsely or densely covered with short stiff hairs, intermixed with short appressed hairs and stalked glandular hairs with heads, denser hairs on the upper part.
