Grapefruit peel oil

Pomelo is an evergreen tree, 5-10m tall. Its twigs are flattened, with young branches and new leaves covered in short pubescence, sometimes bearing thorns or occasionally thornless. The leaves are simple and compound, alternate; the petiole features an inversely heart-shaped broad leaf wing, 1-4cm long and 0.4-2cm wide; the leaf blade is oblong or broadly ovate, 6.5-16.5cm long and 4.5-8cm wide, with a blunt or slightly concave apex, rounded base, shallowly wavy or bluntly serrated margins, sparsely pubescent or glabrous, and semi-transparent oil glands. Flowers are solitary or in racemes, axillary, white; the calyx is cup-shaped, with 4-5 shallow lobes; petals number 4-5, oblong and fleshy; stamens range from 25-45, with filaments fused at the base into 4-10 groups; there is one pistil, with an oblong ovary and a flattened stigma. The citrus fruit is pear-shaped, obovate, or flattened round, 10-15cm in diameter, lemon-yellow in color. Seeds are flattened round or wedge-shaped, white or yellowish. Flowering occurs from April to May, and fruiting from September to November.
