Rosewood oil

Ornmosia genus, evergreen tree, up to 16 meters in height, with a trunk diameter of up to 40 cm, and gray-green bark. "Bencao Shiyi" records: "Huali wood comes from Annam and Hainan, used for making beds and tables, similar to red sandalwood but reddish in color, hard and durable." In the early Ming Dynasty, Wang You's expanded edition of "Gegu Yaolun" states: "Huali wood is produced in Nanyang and Guangdong, purplish-red in color, resembling jiangzhenxiang wood, and also fragrant. Those with ghost-faced patterns are particularly appealing, while those with coarse and faint patterns are of lower quality."
