Applications:The primary purpose of using activated carbon in the food industry is to remove pigments and their precursors, adjust aroma, deodorize, remove colloids, eliminate substances that hinder crystallization, and enhance product stability. It is widely used in liquid-phase adsorption across industries such as sugar production, beverages, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, oil products, printing and dyeing, and environmental protection. It is particularly suitable for decolorizing and removing gums in food industry sweeteners like cane sugar, beet sugar, aspartame, starch sugar, lactose, molasses, xylose, xylitol, maltose, glucose, and hydrolyzed protein solutions. In the beverage industry, it is used for products like Coca-Cola, Pepsi, food additives, preservatives, saccharin, monosodium glutamate, citric acid, pectin, gelatin, flavors, and fragrances, as well as activated clay. It is also effective in decolorizing and deodorizing chemical and pharmaceutical intermediates such as cystine, acidified glycerol, itaconic acid, optical brighteners, gallic acid, and hydroquinone, especially for adsorbing and removing large-molecular pigments.
