The FIA series filters are available in two configurations: angle type and straight-through type. The carefully designed structure provides optimal flow conditions for the refrigerant. They are easy to install, inspect, disassemble, and clean. FIA filters are typically installed upstream of control components, pumps, compressors, and other equipment to filter the refrigerant during system commissioning, trial operation, and normal operation. Installing filters can reduce the risk of unexpected system failures and minimize wear on equipment components.

FIA filters are equipped with stainless steel mesh screens, available in specifications of 100, 150, 250, and 500μ (microns *), (corresponding to U.S. standard mesh sizes of 150, 100, 72, and 38 mesh *). ■ Mesh: refers to the number of wires per inch in the filter screen. μ (micron) is the distance between two wires (1μ = 1/1000 mm).

■ Suitable for various non-flammable refrigerants (including ammonia) and non-corrosive gas/liquid media, compatible with carbon dioxide systems. Can be used in chemical and petrochemical applications.

■ Modular concept:

Equipped with the SVL series universal valve seat, allowing easy replacement of various functional modules from the SVL pipeline components platform.

■ Quick and convenient valve maintenance service. Easy replacement of top functional modules without welding.

■ Stainless steel mesh screen can be installed directly without gaskets, making maintenance easy.

■ Two types of filter screens available:

- Stainless steel flat filter screen

- Stainless steel pleated filter screen with an extra-large filtration area (DN 15-200), which extends cleaning intervals and reduces valve pressure drop.

■ FIA 15-40 (½ – 1 ½ in.): During trial operation for equipment cleaning, a special (50μ) filter screen can be used in combination with the standard filter screen.

■ FIA 50-200 (2 - 8 in.): Provides high-capacity (50μ) filter bags specifically designed for equipment cleaning during system trial operation.
